CAMPER COMMANDMENTS (Travel Trailer Version)

One

Thou shalt have a harmonious and compatible travel partner with shared responsibilities

Two

Thou shalt have a reliable vehicle appropriately sized for the travel trailer being towed

Three

Thou shalt use the very best tires that you can afford on the travel trailer  

Four

 Thou shalt practice good campground etiquette

Five

Thou shalt develop a routine for set-up and departure procedures and always use the same sequence. The use of a surge protector, water filter, and water pressure regulator should be included.

Six

Thou shalt perform regular maintenance on the trailer such as lubricating necessary parts, rotating the tires, pack the wheel bearings, replacing seals, check for wear on the brakes, cleaning or replacing filters, etc 

Seven

Thou shalt have a reliable GPS and expect and plan for areas of no cell service

Eight

Thou shalt use the Rule of Three: don’t tow for more than 3 hours, arrive before 3 PM, and stay for 3 days

Nine

Thou shalt expect the need to make repairs as things shift and/or loosen with mileage

Ten

 Thou shalt enjoy the journey as well as the destination
